The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination, commonly known as OJEE is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Committee (OJEEC). The exam is required for taking admission to Homeopathy/ Ayurveda/ Pharmacy and Integrated MBA (5 years), Lateral Admission to Second Year (3rd Semester), Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy/ MCA and First Year Master’s Degree courses in Computer Application (MCA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), M. Tech/ M. Pharm/ M. Arch/ M. Plan.

OJEE 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Undergraduate Courses

Pharmacy

  • The candidate should have passed 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects along with Mathematics / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational Subjects.
  • The applicant must have secured minimum 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST category) in the above-mentioned subjects.
  • There is no age bar to apply for Pharmacy courses via OJEE exam.

BHMS and BAMS

  • The candidate must have passed 12th with Science stream including Physics, Chemistry & Biology (Botany and Zoology) from a recognised board.
  • The applicant should have secured minimum 50% marks (40% marks for SC/ST students).
  • The candidate must have attained the age of 17 years as on December 31, 2016.

Lateral Entry – Engineering (Diploma Holders)

  • Candidates applying for Engineering or Technology courses through lateral entry should have completed or be appearing in three years’ Diploma in the relevant subjects from State Council of Technical Education and Training (SCTE&VT), Odisha or AICTE approved institutes.

Lateral Entry – Pharmacy (Diploma Holders)

  • Candidates applying for Pharmacy courses through lateral entry should have a two years’ Diploma in Pharmacy after 10+2 approved by Odisha State Board of Pharmacy (OSBP) or SCTE&VT or AICTE institutes.

OJEE Exam Pattern

OJEE 2017 is conducted in different shifts and slots. A candidate has to give exam in 2 slots, depending upon the courses. The shifts are divided into 1 hour and 2 hours slots. All the questions are to be completed in given time span.

OJEE 2017 is a Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) type exam. Every question carries 4 options out of which only 1 option is correct. The correct answers are to be marked on the OMR sheets.

OJEE 2017 Shift I

OJEE 2017 is conducted in online mode with multiple choice questions. There are 120 objective type questions to be completed in 2 hours. The various courses or subjects of various courses which are examined in the 1st shift are tabulated below:

It is an online exam which includes 60-90 objective based questions in Shift II. Candidates have to solve the questions and submit them within 60 minutes. Time management is highly important for the tests in this shift.

OJEE 2017 Application Details

  • The applicant should visit the official website of OJEEC i.e. www.ojee.nic.in  or www.odishajee.com to apply for OJEE exam.
  • Click on the button “Online Student Registration System” and choose the application form as per the course selected.
  • Fill up all the information required and upload a recent photograph and signature.
  • After filling up the application form, pay the application fee via using Debit Card/ Credit Card (VISA / MASTER / Maestro cards/ Net Banking).
  • Once the payment will be done, keep a copy of submitted application form for future references.

OJEE 2017 Counselling/Interview

  • Once the OJEE 2017 results declared, the exam conducting body will prepare the merit list and qualified candidates will be called for the counselling.
